Description

There is a phenomenon, known in animal shelters and rescues as Black Dog Syndrome, where dark colored dogs are less likely to get adopted than lighter colored dogs. One theory is that people associate dark—especially black animals—with evil or aggression. Another is simply that dark dogs are hard to see in shelters when they are cowering in the back of their holding cages. Either way, Dark Dog Posse hopes to dispel the myths and misconceptions to shine a light on all dogs that need a good home.
